Pedro L. Ortega, MD
Pedro L. Ortega, MD founded Central Florida Primary Care, with offices in Winter Park and the MetroWest community of Orlando, Florida. He provides quality health care with a personal touch to his patients. Dr. Ortega is an Internal medicine specialist and underwent years of specialized training so he could diagnose, treat, and cure the most common illnesses that affect adults. However, Dr. Ortega focuses much of his practice on preventive medicine, helping his patients make better health choices to improve well-being.
Dr. Ortega graduated from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia. After receiving his medical degree and completing the required training in his home country, Dr. Ortega relocated to the United States for his residency in internal medicine at the now-closed Ravenswood Hospital Medical Center in Chicago through the University of Illinois. He then moved to Orlando, Florida, starting his medical practice.
Dr. Ortega is so dedicated to his patients’ health and well-being, and can almost always be found at his office.
Jonathan P. Peach, APRN
Jonathan Peach was born and raised in West Texas. After graduating from High School, he moved to Northwest Florida and became an EMT, and then moved to Central Florida where he became a Paramedic for various 911 agencies. Jonathan attended Valencia College in 2008, earning his Associate’s Degree in Nursing and worked for Health Central Hospital and Florida Hospital East Orlando in the Emergency Department. He went on to further his education at the University of Central Florida earning a Bachelor’s in Nursing and a master’s specializing in Family Medicine in 2011 and 2013 respectively. Jonathan joined the Central Florida Primary Care team in November 2013, where he works with his patients to offer holistic patient-centered care. Jonathan continued his education at UCF in the Doctorate of Nursing Practice program, and graduated in May 2015.
Jonathan is fluent in American Sign Language (previous Florida QA Level II), speaks Spanish and was a free-lance interpreter in the Central Florida area for 10 years. He has two children Faith and David.
Cesar Corretjer Russi, MD
Cesar Corretjer-Russi, MD is a bi-lingual physician (English/Spanish) who specializes in Internal Medicine with over 15 years of experience! He underwent his undergraduate studies in the University of Puerto Rico, graduating with a Bachelor’s in Natural Sciences in 2001. Several years later, he underwent more rigorous medical training over at the East Central University over in San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic. Upon completion of this graduate level program, he graduated in 2005 with his Doctorate in Medicine. Shortly after graduation until 2008, his focus was primarily on ER medicine. He decided he wanted to shift his focus as his passion began to exponentially grow to become a primary care provider (PCP).
The following year, Dr. Corretjer-Russi began an Internal Medicine Rotatory Internship over at the Hospital Auxilio Mutuo in San Juan, Puerto Rico to further advance his skills. Furthermore, he took on specialty training for Rehabilitation and Addiction Management in 2014 over at the Universidad Central del Caribe in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. In 2016, he then moved to Central Florida to further his experience in Internal medicine. Upon this relocation, Dr. Corretjer-Russi was eventually given the opportunity to work alongside the Central Florida Primary Care team as the new Primary care physician. Since then until now, he has worked diligently with Dr. Pedro L Ortega and the rest of our team at our practice to deliver quality care: ONE PATIENT AT A TIME!
Iveth Mastrapa, APRN
Iveth Mastrapa is a Bilingual (Spanish/English) speaking Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years of clinical experience. She is focused on providing quality care and maintaining direct and clear communication with her patients and the CFPC team.
She began her career in September 1990 as an Emergency Room Physician for the Saturnino Lora Regional Hospital in Cuba. After just over a decade into her professional career, she decided to move to Orlando, Florida where she accepted the role of Field Registered Nurse (RN) with Kassy Home Health Care from October 2014 until May 2017. There she managed a wide array of patient cases, and took on the additional responsibility of providing quality nursing care for her patient base, as well as to direct and oversee the Home Health Aides providing quality patient care.
She always values assessing the needs of her patients in support of recovery and rehabilitation. Iveth Mastrapa, APRN then moved forward and joined Orlando Health and Rehabilitation Center in May 2017 as a Registered Nurse Supervisor. Her role involved overseeing direct nursing care to assigned patients. In 2019, after completing her Master of Applied Science in Nursing Science at Sistema Universitario Ana G. Mendez, she joined Central Florida Primary care as a Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) where she collaborates with our other three providers to offer “Healthcare with Quality.”
